Breastfeeding Education & Support

Breastfeeding education and support is available to all Jefferson County women. Individual education and support is offered during pregnancy and after a baby’s birth to encourage and facilitate successful breastfeeding.

The Breastfeeding Tea party, a support group for moms and babies, is held weekly on Wednesdays from 11:00 -12:30 PM at JCPH.

Breastfeeding women enrolled in the WIC (Women Infants and Children nutrition program) may be  eligible for more nutritious foods, electric  and manual breastpumps, and the loan of hospital-grade electric breastpumps for priority-based medical reasons.
