Port Townsend City Water System Notification
Starting November 1, notifications are being sent to users of the Port Townsend Municipal Water system concerning the possibility of an increased risk of waterborne infection that may be associated with the system. Click here
for a copy of the notification. Jefferson County Public Health has been closely monitoring “Crypto” trends in Jefferson County. While sporadic cases have been reported in past years, no association with the Port Townsend Municipal Water system has been detected. This is a mandatory notice required by the Washington State Department of Health as part of their regulatory efforts to improve the safety of this public water system. Locally grown fruits and vegetables are available to local families through great coordination between the Jefferson County Farmers Market and Jefferson County Public Health WIC.
