Maternity Support Services (MSS) & Infant Case Management (ICM)

 

A team of Public Health Nurses, social worker and dietician provide support and education to Medicaid-First Steps eligible pregnant mothers and their children until their child’s first birthday.  Services include home and office visits to promote and support healthy pregnancies, healthy babies, safe and responsible parenting, and to link families with community resources.
 

Tea Party for Pregnant Women & Breast Feeding Mothers

Wednesdays, 11:00 to 12:30 (at the Health Department)

Drop in for tea, meet other mothers, and have questions answered. Nursing infants and children welcome.

Women, Infant & Children (WIC) Program

Supplemental food program sponsored by Jefferson County Public Health for income eligible pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, and children under age 5, offers nutrition education and food vouchers. WIC Program
