 Spill Planning and Response Information:
Jefferson County Public Health is offering free spills kits to businesses. To qualify, businesses must complete and return a Spill Plan and agree to a short site visit. Preventing and mitigating spills help protect Puget Sound. Spill plans can be found below, or call (360) 385-9444.

EnviroStars Certification

The goal of the EnviroStars Program is to give businesses incentives and recognition for proper handling and reducing hazardous waste, while giving consumers an objective way to identify environmentally sound businesses.  The partnership between agencies and non-profits provides participants public recognition & advertising.The goal of the EnviroStars Program is to give businesses incentives and recognition for proper handling and reducing hazardous waste, while giving consumers an objective way to identify environmentally sound businesses.  The partnership between agencies and non-profits provides participants public recognition & advertising.
 

Pollution Prevention Assistance

The Local Source Control (LSC) program is a partnership between the Department of Ecology and local health jurisdictions to conduct no-charge technical assistance site visits to small businesses that generate hazardous waste to identify sources of potential pollution and advise about prevention and promote sustainable businesses practices.
