Healthiest Nation 2030
Let’s make America the healthiest nation in one generation

Every Year Public Health week is celebrated nationally and local Jefferson County Heroes are nominated. In celebration of National Public Health Week (April 6-12, 2015), an initiative of the American Public Health Association, the Jefferson County Board of Health is proud to announce its 2015 Public Health Heroes: Jumping Mouse Children’s Center and Jefferson County Nurse-Family Partnership.

The 2015 National Public Health Week theme is “Healthiest Nation 2030, let’s make America the healthiest nation in one generation.” This year’s theme focuses on transforming the way our country approaches health, with greater attention placed on prevention and wellness. Based on this theme, the Board of Health honored JMCC and NFP for providing critical services to the youngest members of our community to improve health outcomes.
