This agreement currently covers 49 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

Purpose

The purpose of the agreement is to facilitate the transfer of offenders from state to state and to provide for a continuity of supervision during that process. The ICAOS website provides general information about the compact.
