On June 25, 2018, a new Technology Fee was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners to fund an upcoming upgrade to the Permit Database that was installed in the 90s and is no longer supported. It is expected that the new database will be phased in starting between 2018-2019. Information regarding this ordinance may be found by clicking on the links below.

For assistance in interpreting the permit fee schedule, contact the Permit Technician. Note that the fee for review under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) is only for those proposals that are not categorically exempt from a threshold determination under SEPA. The Land Use Planner assigned to the case applies the categorical exemption criteria from the State law to the proposal in order to determine whether the proposal requires SEPA review. The project planner also reviews the proposal to determine what type of permit process is required (i.e., Type I, II, or III) and consequently the appropriate fee.
