Eileen Baratuci

Eileen Baratuci graduated cum laude from the University of Puget Sound School of Law, (now Seattle University School of Law) She received the President’s Award for Scholarship for academic achievement for two years and served as the Business Editor for the Law Review and published “The State’s Interest in Adoption” in Spring of 1981.
Eileen started her career as a litigator, doing complex litigation, medical malpractice defense, product liability and employment claims. She then opened her own firm focusing exclusively on employment litigation, labor arbitrations, labor negotiations, training and employment practices advice. She worked primarily with public entities and cities throughout Washington State and conducted regional training programs to assist public employers with legal compliance, policy development, union negotiations, best practices for employers and enhanced supervisory/management skills.
She completed extensive training at the University of Washington in interest based mediation. She became an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission mediator in 2009. She has served as a neutral arbitrator in King, Pierce, Clallam County and now Jefferson County for over 27 years.
Eileen is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, Employment Law and Mediation Sections and the Jefferson County Bar Association. She has served as President for the Jefferson County Bar Association, has served on the Board of Directors for Clallam-Jefferson County Pro Bono Lawyers, and as the Vice President and Director of Programs for the American Association of University Women for the State of Washington. She has also been active and served on the local Board for AAUW’s Port Townsend Branch.
She is a part time Commissioner for the Jefferson County Superior Court and maintains the employment law consulting firm of Arbitration, Investigation and Mediation Services PLLC.
